About Us

Legacy Elementary School was built in 2015 with remaining funds from the 2011 bond referendum. The building occupies a 10-acre site in southwestern West Fargo and has a preferred capacity of 528 and a maximum capacity of 576.

Legacy Elementary School is home to the Legacy Lions. The school belongs to the Hawk feeder-system; students move on to Heritage Middle School and Horace High School.

The building’s principals have included: Jason Markusen (2015 - 2023), Dr. Erin Spies (2023 - 2024), and Meghan Nelson (2024-present).
